In 1974, long before the Me Too era, I curated an exhibition for The Queens Museum entitled, Sons and Others: Paintings of Men by Women Artists. With the halls of museums replete with paintings of nude women by male artists, it seemed a good time to give women artists a chance to present their point of view. In the course of the developing the exhibition, I met many exceptional women artists and it was inevitable that I would be drawn to this subject matter. I became friendly with one of these artists, Diana Kurz, who invited me to share a model in her studio. These paintings are the result of our sessions.
